4. Detailed Itinerary
Day1: Welcome to Hokkaido
Welcome to Hokkaido! As we head to Jozankei, a small hot spring town, look outside to see the amazing fall colors. It’s one of the best places in Hokkaido to see the autumn leaves.
You can walk along the Futami-Jozan trail by the mountain stream if we arrive early enough. Bright red and yellow leaves surround you. You’ll have a wonderful dinner at your hotel, and then you can relax in the hot spring. It’s a natural hot spring from a volcano that will make you feel refreshed and ready for tomorrow!
Day2: Jozankei-Niseko
Eat breakfast at your hotel and prepare for a fun canoeing trip on the Toyohira River. Your local guides will show you how to canoe. You’ll get to see pretty red and yellow autumn leaves while you’re canoeing. You can try boiling eggs in a nearby hot spring at a local restaurant for lunch. Then, we’ll go to Niseko! On the way to your hotel in the Hirafu area, we’ll stop at the Niseko Milk Kobo Farm. You’ll get to try their handmade creampuffs and ice cream.
Today you will check in to Zaborin Ryokan, one of Japan’s most luxurious and traditional ryokans. Located at the foot of Mt. Yotei in Niseko, Hokkaido, enjoy breathtaking views while staying in a beautiful, historic building with modern amenities.
You will be able to experience a true Japanese cultural immersion as all of the staff at Zaborin Ryokan are knowledgeable about local customs and practices. From the elegant decor to the delicious kaiseki cuisine, you will get an authentic Japanese experience while being taken care of by a warm and hospitable staff. Enjoy your stay at one of Japan’s best ryokans!
Day3: Niseko-Hakodate
Leave your hotel and get ready to see the beautiful nature of Hokkaido. You’ll find a beautiful place called Shinsen Numa Marsh Natural Recreation Forest in the Niseko mountains. You can see pretty seasonal flowers, amazing mountain views, and quiet lakes there. You can walk on raised wooden walkways while you look at bright autumn leaves and listen to the sounds of local birds. This place is very pretty during this time of the year because the calm waters reflect the colorful autumn landscape.
After our lunch, we will make our way to Hakodate. We will visit the iconic Hakodate Red Brick, located near the city’s bay area and one of the city’s most famous landmarks. After exploring the red brick building, we will check in at Kappo Ryokan Wakamatsu, where we can spend the night. This traditional Japanese inn offers comfortable accommodations with amazing views of the surrounding area. We can also enjoy the hot springs here in the evening. After dinner, we can kick back and relax before we start our journey again tomorrow morning.
Day4: Hakodate
Today, we’ll visit the city’s biggest and most beautiful park – Fort Goryokaku. This place was a Western-style fort built towards the end of the Edo era. It’s a popular public park with over a thousand cherry trees surrounding its old water-filled trenches.
Next, we’ll go to the Motomachi area in Hakodate. This is a nice place for shopping, having coffee, and choosing where to eat lunch. We suggest going to the Hakodate Morning Market. There, you can find around 250 shops selling Hakodate’s best items, like fresh seafood, vegetables, fruits, sweets, and more.
Before returning to the hotel, we’ll take the Mount Hakodate Ropeway to an observation point. You can see amazing views of the city from there.
Day5: Hakodate-Lake Toya
After check-out of your hotel, you’ll go on a beautiful boat ride at the base of Mt. Komagatake in Onuma Quasi-National Park. You’ll see the interesting volcanic landscape, and you can take cool pictures. Also, check out the geysers and try a relaxing natural foot bath before we leave for Lake Toya.
After lunch, we will go to Lake Toya, a stunning natural area in Hokkaido. Here, you can explore the Toya National Park Silo Observation Deck and ride on the Usuzan Ropeway for breathtaking views of the lake and its surrounding areas. Afterward, we’ll check into our hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening.
Day6: Airport Transfer (Leaving Hokkaido)

International Flights
The tour price does not cover international flights. You should book these flights yourself. You can only check in to your hotel starting at 15:00.

What is a local guide?
A local tour guide is a person who leads visitors through a city, region, or country, providing information about the places and sights you visit. They usually have in-depth knowledge of the local history, culture, traditions, and attractions.
These guides are often residents of the area they are showing you, so they can provide unique insights and hidden gems that might be obscure to a tourist. They can answer your questions, suggest the best places to eat or shop, and help you understand and appreciate the site you visit much better.
How can I Pay ?
We welcome payments through bank transfers or widely accepted credit cards like VISA, Mastercard, JCB, and AMERICAN EXPRESS. We also receive payment from Paypal.

We can book high-quality, reputable apartments in Japan. However, we cannot reserve Airbnb accommodations for your safety and comfort during your journey.
Can I customize a tour package?
Yes, you can. We can adjust our current tour plans to match what you like. This means we can add or remove some parts of the tour to make it fit your interests better. Changes could be things like:
- Adding more days to the tour
- Opting for public transport on certain days
